Stock Shockkk!!!

I was new to this world of Stock gambling, had heard a lot from friends about Equity, trading, Stocks, BSE, NSE, Nifty, ETF’s and all the jargons related to this business, but was never interested in knowing or following any of them. But everyday my friends had this common topic of discussion, Sensex was up by 300 points, the market looks volatile today and so on and so forth…I started feeling left out. What the heck, I opened a demat account; I thought I am wise enough to do well. Even after some of my friend’s opposition, that’s its risky, it’s like gambling and you should first do some research, study and then invest. I created a demat account and brought some shares..One of this share that I got, the next day suddenly was down by 200Rs..Jeez I was about to die from heart attack..I was scared stiff and cursed myself for my hard earned money was all lost now..I started believing and making myself believe, no something is wrong in the system, how can a stock suddenly go 200Rs down all at once.

I couldn’t sleep that night. Aesop’s ghost started haunting me. All the morals and lessons of his fables were dancing and flashing in front of my eyes in huge 36 sized Times New Roman.

Look before you leap.               The greedy who want more lose all.

Even the wise must recognize their limits.

Every tale is not to be believed.         Figures are not always facts.

Everyone is more or less master of his own fate.

The next day my friends were discussing about this company, that it had declared a bonus of 5:2 shares, so the stock price got divided and the price is now almost 200rs low. Oh boy! I regained all my lost breath, my heart was back in place, beating normally. Me acting the smart arse, immediately opined, “I told you guys to invest in this company, I knew this company is doing good, you see no reason I had invested such a huge amount in this company”.

Lessons Learnt….Heck ya!!!

Yeh Zindagi Kuch Kehti Hain....

Zindagi ne puchha mujhse,
tu kyun rota hain?
Khushiyo ke itne gulab hain,
fir kyun tu kaato ko ginta hain?
Khushiyo ki khushbu ka anand le tu,
tu kyun ghamo ki chubhan pe chillaata hain?

Zindagi ne puchha mujhse,
tu kyun rota hain?
Khushiyo se bhari chaadar hain,
fir kyun tu gham ke dhaage ginta hain?
Khushiyo ka chadar odh le tu,
tu kyun gham ki thand mein sikudta hai

Zindagi ne puchha mujhse,
tu kyun rota hain?
Khushiyo ki haryali hain,
fir kyun tu gham ki banjar Zameen ki oor dekhta hain?
khushiyo ki chhaya mein araam karle tu,
tu kyun gham ki dhoop mein jhulasta hain?

Zindagi ne puchha mujhse,
tu kyun rota hain?
khushiyo ka samundar hain,
fir kyun tu gham ke chingari se darta hain?
Khushiyo ke samundar me doob ja tu
tu kyun gham ki aag mein jalta hain?

Zindagi ne puchha mujhse,
tu kyun rota hain?
khushiyo se bhara aasmaan hain,
fir kyun ghum ke badalon se ghabrata hain?
khushiyo ke aasmaan ke tale muskura le,
tu kyun gham ke badal ke saye mein rota hain?

Zindagi ne kaha mujhse,
beshumar khushiya hain tere pas,
zarurat hain toh ek ehsas ki,
khushiyo ki khushi ko saraahane ki,
na dikhega gham teri zindagi mein,
na rahega tu udas kabhi zindagi mein.

Laughter Epidemic

My laughter!!! It’s contagious, very contagious and all my friends would vouch for it.

The best laughing times we had was in our training days back in 2007, some of the people had this job of triggering laughter in me and then the rest of the gang would join and we would spend next 20 minutes laughing nonstop for no reasons. We would laugh till we were out of breath and tears roll of our eyes.

But never did I know, there could be something in history as a “Laughter epidemic”. Never did I imagine laughter could be so contagious that can bring an epidemic in a city and schools are forced to shut down. I wish our laughter was so contagious and powerful, we could shut our office for few days :)

Anyways, I wrote this post, coz I read about this epidemic in Wiki and thought it’s something unusual and worth sharing. Tanganyika laughter epidemic, happened in 1962 in Tanzania, near border of Kenya. I think it’s one of its kind, 14 schools were shutdown and more than 1000 people affected. Six to eighteen months after it started, the phenomenon died off. Wow!!! And they say laughter is the best medicine :D

P.S: Do read the link above to know more about this epidemic.

This is what happens when you are totally bored and are fixed in your office chair, waiting for the clock to tick 5...

I dont know what to do,

do what your heart says,

say a word or two to ur loved,

loved are far in time n space,

space reminds me of hyperspace,

hyperspace is what I am studying in class,

class is fun sans the driving,

driving when u r drunk is bad,

bad is when u r bored,

bored is what I am now,

now is the time to update ur blog,

blog is what I am writing this for,

for I really dont know what to write,

write something that makes sense,

sense is not working at this moment,

moment is what you should capture,

capture how bored you are,

are you guys also bored ?

bored if you are, and dont know what to do?

do what I just did ! :)

Name Game

People who migrate to US of A for the first time complain about the American accent and the tough time they have to cope up with the American names. But are we any less? I am sure Americans equally face a tough time understanding our accent. We literally kill them with all our long names especially people from south with the usual Big one line names…Imagine the Americans saying ‘Vangala Govindrajan Krishnappa’ or ‘Bhagyalakshmi Kantharajappa Murthy’ or Krishna Kumar Gopalan Visweswaran’. They would die out of sheer frustration of not able to pronounce/say it correctly.

One of my south Indian friend has this big south Indian name. He was on a call with the customer care and this American lady was having a tough time understanding his accent and his name. So she asked him to spell his name…not used to the International phonetic alphabet, he went with the Indian nursery A for Apple, B for ball thingy, he somehow managed to cross this 25letters of his name. Now when he came to his last word of his name which ends like APPA..he says A for APPLE, P for PineApple and we all burst into laughter…A for Apple…P for Pineapple..ha ha ha..we still laugh whenever we remember this incident…I am sure the American lady also had a good doze of laughter even though she had a tough time decoding the name…

My friend has come a long way, now he only uses the western union phonetic alphabets and says A as in Adam, P as in Peter :)
First time bloopers are funny but worth cherishing...

Life - A Jigsaw Puzzle...

There are times and days in your life when you introspect and complain or situations lead u to think and rethink…

What’s happening in my life?

Jeez!!! not again…Why does this happen to me all the time?

Why am I in this shit? How will I get out of it?

Why me ?

Why do I have to wait for so long...Don’t I deserve better?

Yes it happens to me..It happens to most of us…

We do know that everything happens for a reason and as you go ahead in your life you’ll get a substance for what had happened…it sometimes takes years to reveal the mystery or sometimes it’s just a few moments away…

What we see is not always true, the ground reality is sometimes different, the trailer can be deceiving, you need to watch the movie to know the entire plot. Years later or when everything is set straight, you look back in life, you will see all the pieces had a perfect meaning, each piece had to be there to make the puzzle complete.

Life’s like a jigsaw puzzle, where every event good or bad are the pieces of this puzzle, which completes this beautiful picture called Life. If you miss one piece, this picture would remain incomplete.

But when the going gets tough we are bound to cogitate. We are too human to understand the ground behind the unforeseen happenings in life. At times even those small little things in life, irritates you, annoys you…

I was having a bad day, things were getting on nerves…everything seem to be going wrong, events forced me to think, ‘Why Me’?

And then, I get a mail in my inbox, and it said it all….

" After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space.
At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive......and all the stories were just the 'LITTLE' things. As you might know, the head of the company survived that day because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he go there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone when in a hurry... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment... So Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated.
God is at work watching over you & taking care of you.
When something happens to you – Good or Bad; consider what it means.
There’s a purpose to life’s events. To teach you how to laugh more and not to cry too hard.
When you feel down because you didn’t get what you want, just sit tight and be happy. God has thought of something better to give you."

Suddenly I was at peace, as if I had answers to all my worries… with time things got sorted out and I realized there’s a purpose to life’s events, everything that looked improper and illogical in the past made complete sense now…undoubtedly there’s a reason for everything, and each event conspires to make a way for you, towards your destiny. When such things happen you’re bound to believe God is at work watching over you & taking care of you!

US Jahan Mein Hum…

A new country, a new civilization, new friends and a beginning of new era for US..A era of fun, frolic, bloopers and masti…

We all moved out of India for the first time and came into this country of dreams - US of A. Beautiful skyscrapers, lovely roads, snow as pure as white, hot chics they all make you go crazy..you are in total Awe…But what comes uninvited is new culture, new rules and regulations– traffic, driving, eating, theee “American accent”, loadsa bloopers and faux pas!!!

As first timers in US of A, we all slip, make goof-ups..And as time passes all these first timer bloopers remains as memories to laugh upon…

A great friend of mine Ms. Yamini Murty, she is an awesome blogger, visit http://expressmyway.blogspot.com/ to know for yourself. She has this series called “Aisa Bhi Hota Hain”, which is such an awesome way to put down in words all those little incidents/episodes/bloopers that life brings with it, and the wit she adds to it makes it worth reading.. This inspired me to write all the goof ups and blunders that I do or see around. This series of post under the label “US Jahan Mein Hum” is specially dedicated to all the bloopers and faux pas I do or see around during my stay in US of A.. so that I can laugh and relive all of them as I grow old. A Year Gone By...

Back in time,
Thinking of the ride.
A year gone by,
Was an attempt to fly.

Flight seems high,
But that’s a lie,
For I've crossed only a mile.
But then it’s the genesis,
Beautiful are the reminisces.

The year gone by,
sure contributed to the fly.
Memories I capture,
As I march into future.

Long appears the drive,
A tryst with time,
Need to be brave,
To conquer the game.
But this is about the year gone by,
And the celebration it buys!

Chai Parle-G ka sang hain

There is a old saying 'Time and tide waits for no one'. So very true time seems to be running and its running fast. Many atimes I wish I could go back to my childhood, smile and laugh awhile..run and play around...just stand and stare at objects that look mysterious or even if they don't;)

I was having chai and parle G this evening with my roomates, and it reminded me so many things of my childhood and for a moment we went back to the golden days and discussed all those things we use to do as a child. I also ended up writing a few lines a tribiute to Parle-G, the biscuit we all have grown up with and I still love it:)
the poem is named 'Chai Parle-G ka sang hain'

Anko mein nend hain, fir b ek umang hain,
kaam ke bojh se jhuki hain zindagi,
bachpan mein fir jane ka mann hain,
Chai Parle-G ka sang hain.

Samay ki raftar se dar lagta hain,
kuch pal churane ka jee karta hain,
bachpan mein fir jane ka mann hain,
Chai Parle-G ka sang hain.

Kuch pal apno ke saath beeta le,
kuch purani yaado ko fir jee le,
bachpan mein fir jane ka mann hain,
Chai Parle-G ka sang hain.

Galtio pe mummy ki woh daat,
daat ke baat mummy ka woh dular,
bachpan mein fir jane ka mann hain,
Chai Parle-G ka sang hain.

Chai Parle-G ka sang hua khatam,
samay ne fir hain pukara,
bachpan se nikalne ka hain ishara,

fir laut ke auga,
kuch pal bachpan mein beetane,
Chai Parle-G ke sang.

ALL ISZZZ WELL!!!!!

It’s been more than 8 months, that I haven’t blogged.
You ask me why? And I would say I just don’t know. I didn’t know what to write, nothing motivated me to write...2009 was not a significantly great year for me. The less of high peaks and more of Low peaks marked the year an unsatisfactory one for me.

Yet again a year has passed by and I still stand at the crossroads, confused and baffled as to which road I should travel by...

I could say 2009 was not a great year but nevertheless it has taught me to be patient. They say whatever happens, happens for a reason. I haven’t found the reason yet, but I have learnt one thing for sure there is one force which is mightier and powerful than your force and at times you need to surrender to this force.

Each passing day teaches you something new…it teaches you how to deal with life..It teaches you to be happy…It teaches you to live your life.
The lessons could be through your loved ones, the unknown faces or the unfamiliar situations you meet each day, the chaotic world outside or person within you. The inspiring characters in reel life or lovely characters in your real life. Its upto us how we take up these lessons in our life.

Ranchodas Shamaldas Chachad is one such inspiring character. He has immensely inspired me.What a lovely and positive character..and a class movie.

I bet the most frustrated lot you’ll find in software industry, even I am no exception. But let’s not cry and complain about the sucking job, about lost opportunities, about the unfair world and not so happening life.

If your job sucks look out for a better opportunity, if you couldn’t crack your CAT/GRE or any other entrance exam, try again you will. If you have tried again and again and still you are not able to achieve your dream, leave it you have many other dreams to accomplish, look forward to them. If you have messed up your life, make all means to sort it out, crying over it is no solution.
It you are doing the best you can do and still you are unhappy or not able to reach your destination, then probably you need to catch up another train or change your route.
Lets make life happen!!!

Its 2010...A new year... A new beginning...new hopes and new aspirations…Let face the hurdles in life bravely and walk towards our dream. What is important is to be happy!!! And whenever you are low and troubles surround you..you know what you have to say..ALL IsZZZ WELL…as Baba Ranchodas says, the problem might not be solved but you’ll get the courage to face the problem

ON that note…Happy New Year…May 2010 be a blessed year for all of us!!!

Serendipity Again!!!

There was a Short Fiction writing contest "Ascension" @ http://www.clarityofnight.blogspot.com/. They had given a picture on which the participants had to write a story…
Though I was late to send my post, but nevertheless even I made an attempt to write a story..its my first attempt to story writing so would appreciate all ur valuable feedbacks...

My writeup :

Serendipity Again!!!

It was a stormy night. The wind roared, the sky turned black in fury and the nature sobbed vehemently. The night was furious; people did not dare to come out of their refuges.
The panic was clearly visible on people’s faces…It seemed as if the fear had made Sandra immune to all that was going around …
While everyone was running helter-skelter, she took the escalator to reach the first floor of the mall…As she moved up, she recollected the tempestuous night…That night she could never forget …
Four years ago, when the nature played mischief and it rained heavily, just like this night, she met Sam who, like others, was waiting for the clouds to clear. Together they managed to get into a partially done mall.
She did not refrain from getting into her business when Sam gave a peck on her cheek. That night she felt something that she had never felt before. She loved the deception. Though this was her job, she couldn’t remain professional. Emotions flowed as he made love to her. For the first time in life she felt she was loved for who she was, not for what she did.
She came back to reality as she ascended and reached the floor. Blood rushed through her veins when she saw Sam looking at her intently giving one of those –serendipitous smile. Both stood there for a moment looking in each others eyes…reliving the night…reliving the love that had no name…
It was evident that even Sam was equally glad and indeed this accident was beautiful.
In Sandra’s word it was Serendipity again!!!

Life is how u treat it....!

Life is how u treat it..
The way we react to situations is totally in our hands...
We can choose to be happy and stay happy!!!

Recently I read an article on "The 90/10 Principle" by Stephen Covey.
The principle says" 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react."

This principle hit the chord and made my grey cells work....
Somehow I thought of trying it out and it really worked. Being happy is a conscious choice, it’s not an automatic response.
And its we who are totally responsible for our happiness.

I am a learner by experience.
And one thing that I have learnt from life is, there is no use cribbing and crying about things that didn’t work.
If things didn’t work it was bcoz either they were not destined to happen or you didn’t deserve it.
Being an optimist, ill say it didn’t work bcoz probably something better is in store.

I agree, at times, it’s inevitable to get depressed with all the negativity around and with the tough and testing times life brings along with it.
But these are the 10% of life on which you have no control, where you are helpless. But then when u know you are helpless and you can’t do anything, why think more, be depressed and worsen the situation?
I know its easy saying but when it comes to reality all these fundas/philosophies are nothing but crap.

Sometime back I had one such eventful day(eventful bcoz the events brought some good lessons with it)..Everything around me seemed so negative..I was helpless...and situations were sucking...
I was getting frustrated, irritated...These are the times when you either analyze as to what went wrong or discuss with a good friend.
I got great friends and with them come great philosophies (which are nothing but crap at that point of time)
But if I ponder on those philosophies I realize how much sense they make.

I mean see, life always has ups and down. All bad days have good days to follow, so always face the bad day in a way u can be proud of.
why cry and waste those days and regret later on, when u know u cant do anything about it. You ought to be helpless at times, you are not God to be all powerful.
We all know all these philosophies and we don’t tend to give a ear to it bcoz we find it very heavy.
So even I wont give much of these but then....

Okay coming back to my agenda...i was talking about happiness being a choice...
All I know is - Smile and the world Smiles with you...Decide for a day that you wont crib, cry and won’t get depressed and see the difference..Be happy and make others happy and I bet u can make all the difference.
Now, what about problems, testing times, responsibilities, losing your love, good friends…… All these are tough times..who doesn’t have all these problems...?

I know at times Life is a bitch, but we should learn how to treat it.
Love it and it will love u back, Hate it and it will make your life hell.
And then we all are just travelers, out on a journey. You meet some, and you lose some in this span.
Problems - they'll come and go. People will come and go… You’ll never have good times all the time..
But all we can do is Be cool and enjoy the journey..

So, GunnGunna le, muskura le...Zindagi mein kush reh le:)
Sing, dance, and laugh...Keep the child in u alive...Be happy and be wild:)
And yes Love yourself!!!

I feel very positive about everything, as I end this post…
hum hain rahi pyaar ke, phir milenge chalte chalte.... :)

What’s next is an enigma…

As I walk through the days of ma life,
As I look into the future ahead,
The path looks blurred,
The future looks uncertain,
For what’s next is an enigma,
And what’s present is all I can trust.

With days so bleak,
With future so gloomy,
Ma heart goes downbeat,
And ma mind goes unconstructive.
For what’s next is an enigma,
And what’s present is all I can trust.

With heavy cross to carry,
With many a promises to keep,
Ma corpse seems tired,
And ma soul quits to respond,
For what’s next is an enigma,
And what’s present is all I can trust.

With opportunities turning upside down,
With every promise being dejected,
I’m left alone with many in the field,
To fight ma battle for existence.
For what’s next is an enigma,
And what’s present is all I can trust.

But I’m a warrior,
Who knows not to quit,
Will tussle through ma battle,
And emerge a victor.
For what’s next may be an enigma,
But in me and my abilities is all I trust!!!

Doing Nothing is very hard to do…U never know when u r finished!!!

It all started as usual morning..opened my eyes to see the time…
fish($#&@) it’s 8am and I have to catch the bus at 8:30am…late as usual…

the last one to get up in the morning…feels like kicking my roomie’s ass…y the hell can’t he wake me up in the morning??…
Without saying a word to anyone I brushed my teeth and did a quick polishing only to remember I have to iron the clothes…rushed the iron through my clothes and I see my roomies leaving for the bus…bang varu, u are late again…
Ran to the bus stand to catch the bus and I see everybody waiting…and I was relieved to see that I didn’t miss my bus…It wasn’t a bad start afterall..

So starts my day:

8:40am: my bus arrives, I take the last seat and again time for some nap..
Pune traffic!!!-- cannot reach before 9:20am to office…and when it comes to sleeping I don’t miss a chance…how much I love doing it…u bet I am best in this job…
9:20am: I reached office as usual. Or was it only 9:10?? Unusually usual!!!
Booted my computer, Tried to open my igoogle home page to read my horoscope, (that’s the first thing I do)…but the server was down. Damn..
Okay forget it…
Next thing… I thought of checking my mails…. but fish (#$%^)!!!??!!
my account just wouldn’t open…
so here, I was helpless, sitting in front of the computer unable to do anything…
Was it for this that I got up early today (8 am is early by Indian standard times!!) and rushed to office…???

Raised some requisitions (zzzz yawn zz) and went up to cafeteria for breakfast…
came back to see no progress in the situation…
made a few calls to the help desk and finally my account was unlocked and then the flow of mails started… (peace…!!)
but darling!! The server which could help me serve my clients was still on hibernation. I was still not able to do anywork….

Some said time to celebrate…
and I nodded…
but soon I realized I had work to complete…. (duh –uh)
and without the server I was helpless…
work will be pending… but dekh lenge yaar…
so I joined in the bakar sessions…
read some e-paper...
Took extra breaks than usual… (just 5 more than the usual 5)
mailed and e-mailed and sent mails…(luckily this worked!!!)
and then what??…
I was getting bored doing nothing…and what struck me was my desktop background
It said, “Doing nothing is very hard to do…you never know when you are finished”
I thought- how true!!…
(Ting tong) -Time to write some crap…
so came into life this post about ‘doing nothing’…
So the big question is ‘for how long can one sit and do nothing….?’
I know the answer!! (:D)
I wonder how do people, who sit on bench for months doing nothing, survive…
I mean, I would have gone crazy!!!….
But I guess it’s all about increasing productivity even when you have nothing to do…
Look!! 1 and ½ years in IT and I speak IT…
What next????
Ummm….timelog!!!
TIMELOG: Date: 15 sept’08
Total hours: 8 Hours
Description: ???????
(shhhhhhhh… can’t mention it!!.. You know what I did today, guys!!:P)

PS: The server should take rest sometime too. My blog was idle for almost two months!!

It was funny and completely crazy…I don’t know what went on with us when we thought of writing a poem and we actually wrote one… its really funny..but it brings smilesssssssss on my face whenever I read it…it takes me back to the days of our friendship…we took a xerox of it to maintain a copy … I hope now u can read it and have a good laugh ma “mysterious beautiful gal”.

Mysterious beautiful gal…hmmm yes she is mysterious…hmm u can say she is beautiful:)…atleast that’s what she wants to be called “mysterious beautiful gal”…so here it is a dedication to u ma “mysterious beautiful gal “and to all other beautiful crushes of mine:)

Here it goes:

Once I went to the canteen….

Shampooed my hair with pantene…(I neva used pantene in my life though it just to bring the rhyme u see canteen…pantene)

I brought slice and mountain dew…

To impress a girl who was very cute…

But all she said was you…you ..you…

I took her cell phone number..

And she told me her boyfriend was a plumber…

And that he was a big time bummer…

I promised her to to be her knight in shinning armour…

She promised to be my valentine…

And that made me feel divine…

I brought her a coat of fur …

And we lived happily ever after….

One Night @ Fluid Lounge!!!

This Saturday night 3 of us decided to go to Apache …the fluid lounge at bavdhan…

Little did we know that we were going to spend one of the best nights in our life…

We entered the lounge and we were mesmerized with the ambience…the instant reaction was - Wow!!!

We started with a mug of beer…then came the next and it went on and on…

To compliment the perfectly chilled beer we had some pahadi kebabs…

It was just 2 mugs of beer in and we could experience our heads banging to the awesome music being played…

Soon we realized it was not only us but the entire crowd at apache who was grooving with music, banging their heads to the beats of the rock…Meantime we finished more mugs of beer and some Bacardi with coke…

And here we were in full euphoria…enjoying the moment…enjoying our state of trance…laughing…talking loud and still not clear:)

I felt as if it was heaven…it seemed the best place on earth…I was in a state of elated bliss…drinks…great friends around…and great music….what more one could ask for….And huh….how can I forget the girl in green sitting opposite to me…what a babe she was...I was in love - It was love at first sight….she still lingers in my mind…uffhh yeh dil….

We were in a state of wild exaltation…enjoying everybit….banging our heads…looking at the mirror above….soon the paparazzi in us came alive…and the flashes and clicks of our camera came into action….

Before Mads realized that I am gonna spend my entire night here…he said “Varu we’ll finish it for today with a tequila shot…”and I with all my innocence nodded my head…for my dil wanted more!!!

After that amazing tequila shot we left the place…though none of us actually wanted to…

Physically we were out of apache but our souls were still there…

We didn’t wanted to end that night so soon by going back home…so we went to CCD…for A lot can happen over a coffee… Robo joined us there only to be bugged by our talks…he ordered some bread with paneer and a cafĂ© mocha…and he was happy with it….until the philosophers in us came out…that night we had answers to all the questions…all the voids…all the worries life brings with it…one among us would ask a question and bang came the answers from others to justify…

3 best philosophers the universe would have ever produced, were in action…

But we were loving it…we were talking foolishly…but we loved the foolishness…for there was no one to judge us except Robo…

It was some time and now we had to leave that place too…what next was the question…Home…Naaaaaaaaahhh…we cannot waste this night buddy…

So we went to our favourite adda… Reliance…We sat there for hours…

We talked…laughed….even danced….we had fun….we enjoyed..enjoyed to the fullest…

We gazed at the moon….and instantly all three had one song to sing… “aye chand teri chandni ki kasam….mere pass b ek chand hain…”but the irony was that, presently all four of us were lukhe’s…chronic bachelors…single so much ready to mingle…he he he

And then I felt as if the moon is silently laughing at us…and the tequila in me looking at moon said… “aye chand ek din mere pass be chand hoga and that day u gonna envy me”

And everyone was like varu ko chad gayi…

And continued our talks …laughter...fun…as if the night is never gonna end…

Soon the one among us who was in full senses said its high time we should go home now…

And all three of us innocently nodded yes…though we didn’t feel like going home even now…But then we had spend one of the best night in our life…

We talked and we laughed…

We questioned and we answered…

We ate and we drank…

We sang and we danced…

We loved and we missed…

We enjoyed and we had fun…!!!

That night was simply amazing…that night we had answers to all the challenges…that night we learnt a lesson…life is all about enjoying and appreciating…

So here we were brave people challenging the voids life brings with it…for life is all about celebrating…so let’s Rock On!!!

Cheers:)

The Other Side Of My Universe...

And thoughts went on...It is never different!! One of my earlier posts was about how i wanted to give a purpose to my life... But i wouldn't have existed, the purpose wouldn't be there, had My Universe not been there...

And Coming to pune…away from My Universe, showed me life on the other side …life on other side was tough…I was touched to see the helpless children near the Station..Sasoon hospital…FC and MG road…they taught me the worth of My Universe….it was their inspiration that led to this write up…so here it goes.....The other side of My Universe....

I had My Universe made up of loving parents….caring friends….

I had everything..all the necessities and riches a child needs to grow….

Still I used to grumble…fight and cry for things that I didn’t have….

Till I grew big enough and saw life on other side of MY Universe…

I saw the helpless and the needy…innocent homeless little children….

They had no food to eat and clothes to wear…

They had no home to live and parents to care…
They had toys not to play but to sell…

They ate, drank and slept by the street side…

Sky was their roof and earth was their floor…

Still they lived their life…

They wanted to grumble…fight and cry….

But had no one to complain their plight…

And I was helpless with all my might….

Just stood their with tears filled in my eyes…

Felt sorry for all the fight that I had with My Universe…

All I did was closed my eyes and thank the Lord for My Universe…

And begged Him to make the other side of My Universe a better place to live in….Amen

Home is where the heart is!

Home Home I am coming...!

Its yet another beautiful Friday.... Fridays are always beautiful... ask an IT professional and he will vouch for it...and the fact that I am not at my workstation makes it more beautiful...

Its 6:10 in the evening...and here I am peeping through the window of my seat...The wheels move fast to faster...acceleration kisses its zenith...the engine moves vehemently....and I feel nostalgic as the train moves closer and closer towards my destination...my home!!!

Always wondered what power does the place “Homehave?

Big enough you may grow up....you might have all the luxuries of life...you might be living in the most exquisite place on this earth...but no other place can replace the tangibility you have when you are back at your home town...your home where you have spend your entire childhood...

I have spent major part of my life...rather I should say my teens (for life has just begun for me) away from home...Be it junior college...my graduation...and even now I have been a hosteller...away from home...and perhaps this has made my attachment towards home rather less...this doesnt mean I dont love my family...but the fact that I dont need to talk home daily...for I have literally seen people talking home daily...and I have seen people falling homesick...and missing home miserably...

But yes....going back to my home always makes me feel happy...it excites me...exhilarates me... enriches me....Staying a week at home fills me with new vim and enthusiasm...it makes me feel green and newly born...it’s like a stimulating dope after months of hard work...

Now as I fall short of word to express my feeling which is perhaps boundless....

I look outside the window...and I am lost...lost in the ecstasy of nature...the beautiful weather and needless to say my thoughts intoxicates me....so now I put my pen to rest...as I enjoy my trance...

All I want to say is I am happy...enjoying this reflex...for Home I am coming!!!

By The Street Side....

Walking down the street
I saw the street, it was busy...
People moving and I could see the worries and tension they were carrying... and I paused to think what I was doing
Perhaps flowing like the river
I was one among them and then my eyes wandered around to look for a happy man….and I saw a few children playing hide and seek,

I could see they were enjoying...

Unaware of the trials and the difficulties the future had hidden for them
I stood there for a while
Smiling, quenching my quest seeing them enjoy….
Forgetting my worries and responsibilities for a while…
Then I moved ahead with the soul by my side –talking and arguing with me..
I moved and found few old people selling vegetables by the street side...
“Were they happy?”, I pondered, but they were making their living.
Moving ahead I saw few moving in their AC cars – and I questioned again...
“Were they happy?” with all the luxuries....

and I paused to think again….

What was I looking for?
Quick came the answer from my soul. You are looking for a meaning....
A meaning that your life could define...and I thought was I living just to die one day?
Would I achieve my dreams?
Dreams that remain plenty and still undefined….
The path seems empty and unexplored...
I continued walking along the street side with the soul by my side.
Arguing and fighting ….
Still with an unanswered question…
“Will I die before I leave my footprints strong enough to leave its mark?
Will I die before giving a meaning to my life………..
